Technology - Creating Synthetic Data

Details on some of the technologies we use to create photo-realistic virtual worlds

Creating Synthetic Data

To create the synthetic data, Mindtech builds a virtual 3D world.  Within this 3D world, we place a number of vehicles, "actors" and other objects.  To create the required training data, we need images (visible or otherwise) and annotations.  To generate the images, we place one or more cameras in the virtual world.

Chameleon uses an underlying engine for low-level graphics rendering, input processing  and physics engines which can target multiple operating systems.

Mindtech have developed several key technologies to enable the generation of highly realistic graphics, required for accurate domain matching.
